I am going to do my powerpoint presentation on the current presidental candidates. I am a political science major and very interested in the upcoming election.

Powerpoint

1. Do not use complete sentences
2. Do not use too many colorful backgrounds that make the text hard to read
3. Try to be consistent throughout the presentation with fonts, colors, etc.
4. Always have a title slide
5. Each slide should have a title

They stole a picture of my son..

This is a very shocking story. Using people's pictures without their permission is quite illegal and I would be outraged as well. I am surpised that the company was not more apologetic when the woman contacted them. They should have immediately realized what they did was illegal and inexcusable. I think they should have had to pay even more than 4000 dollars, especially because of the rude way they responded.

Chris Nolan's Presentation

Mr. Nolan's presentation was very interesting. I liked learning about the different search engines and which ones provided better results. One thing I found out that suprised me was that .org websites are not automatically reliable. He showed us the martinlutherking.org website and it was completely ridiculous and racist. I had always thought that anything with .org at the end was definitely scholastic and reliable.

Word Processor Experience

I have used Microsoft Office 2003 for most of my life. I am pretty apt at using it, and have never really had problems. Office 2007 is very new to me though and I need more practice learning where everything is. The tutorial helped me alot.

Computer Experience

I consider myself pretty good with computers. I have always used PC's, so I am not very apt with Mac's and I don't like them. In high school, I took a class called BCIS which is very similar to this Computer Skills class. I use my PC laptop to get on the internet, send emails, listen to music, and write papers. I am fairly good with Excel, but I never really need to use it. The computer I have now is kind of slow but I refuse to get a new one because it is not that old and I think it is silly that computers only last about 4 years. It still does everything I need it to, it just takes longer sometimes.
